The opportunity – Te tūranga

As Marketing and Publicity Executive reporting to Senior Marketing Manager, you will work across TVNZ’s platforms as a dual marketing and publicity capacity helping deliver campaigns for entertainment, sport, and news and current affairs content, turning our biggest content into the stories and moments that drive mass audiences to watch, stream and talk about TVNZ.

Your focus will be on

·       Support the marketing team with delivery of marketing campaigns and always-on promotional activity

·       Assist Senior Marketing Managers to deliver fully integrated marketing campaigns

·       Contribute to publicity strategy and media exposure

·       Build media and talent relationships

This is a 12-month fixed term contract.

What we’re looking for – Tā mātou e kimi nei

To be successful, in this role we are looking for the following

·       A minimum of 3 years industry experience in marketing and/or publicity roles. You’ll understand our varied content, ideally with a particular interest and understanding of entertainment.

·       Analytical skills, you’ll be able to understand and communicate what makes content appealing to various segments of our audience.

·       A great communicator and a consummate team player and collaborator.

·       Great personal organisation and time management skills with good attention to detail and accuracy.

·       A flair for writing, with a good understanding of, and exceptional passion for, the business of media, entertainment and consumer trends and insights.

·       An ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
