The opportunity – Te tūranga
As the Business Affairs Manager reporting to the GM Commercial & Government Relations, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Business Affairs unit.
In this role, you will ensure that local, commissioned, and acquired content progresses smoothly through approvals and contracting workflows; and you will oversee the creation and tracking of content purchase orders.
Your focus will be to provide specialist expertise across contract management, systems, and administrative processes, while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract.

To be successful in this role, you will need
· Proven experience in implementing and managing effective operational business processes.
· Demonstrated experience in managing high volumes of documentation while maintaining clear, transparent, and secure filing for confidential information.
· Basic accounting skills, and ability to quickly understand payment requirements from contract and apply diligent processes to ensure timely payment.
· Experience in deal negotiation is an advantage.
· Knowledge of NZ television and media or production market is an advantage.
· Ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
· Demonstrated self- disciplined, self-motivated and methodical in approach to work.
· High level of proficiency across core digital tools, including Word, Excel, and SharePoint. Experience in working with NetSuite and/or IBMS is an advantage.
· Data entry experience, coupled with numerical accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
· Demonstrated ability to draft, read and interpret contracts, coupled with good proof-reading skills.
· Strong organisational and prioritising skills to manage time and resources effectively.
· Able to deal with a wide range of people at all levels of seniority, expertise and sensitivity.
