Our client is on a mission to simplify the end-to-end building experience and are looking for an Intermediate to Senior Product Designer to join their Parnell based, Head Office team.

This company empowers businesses to grow online and helps millions of people embarking on their building journey find what they love and need, from architects, building designers, interior designers, products and materials in the construction industry. They showcase a wide range of projects, from residential to commercial designs and provide a resource for anyone looking to build, renovate, or find inspiration for their own projects.

The product team is the driving force behind the continuous product evolution within a traditional and complex industry. Reporting to the Head of Product B2B, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing exceptional product experiences for professionals, suppliers and internal team. With a comprehensive product suite, you will have a range of features to apply your UX and UI skills.

You will work closely with the product, design and engineering departments to deliver product experiences that add value platform users, collaborating to help solve client problems, support
sales results and ensure success.

You will be comfortable operating autonomously, introducing new methods and approaches that help deliver a best-in industry product, while managing design solutions that are scalable and efficient for the wider product and engineering team to deliver.

This is a digital product, therefore you will need to have a strong understanding of the digital landscape as well as show an interest in the design and build community and what they are aiming to achieve.

The work will involve:

User Insights Gathering

  • Conduct platform research to understand client behaviours.
  • Analyse users market tools, competitive offerings, and industry changes to support ideation.
  • Gather feedback and client insight through surveys, interviews, user data, wire-framing and testing.
  • Listening to clients by immersing yourself in client meetings to understand pain points and opportunities.

 

Product Delivery

  • Gather feedback on product concepts, wireframes, and prototypes from customers, internal teams, and subject matter experts to help validate solutions and design direction.
  • Collaborate with product leaders on strategic approach to product features and designs.
  • Conduct usability testing to identify pain points, usability issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Deliver end-to-end solutions in Figma for the development team to deliver, working with engineering managers to refine concepts.

 

Launching and Iterating

  • Work with BETA users to refine product features before wider launch.
  • Work alongside product marketing, engineering and CX to help meet feature launch timelines.
  • Monitor user engagement metrics, such as user retention, conversion rates, and user satisfaction scores, to measure the impact of UX changes and inform future design iterations.

 

Requirements

  • Proven background in SAAS product design – 3+ years of experience designing end-to-end software features, with a track record of successfully taking raw ideas and turning them in to loved products.
  • Proficient with generating user insights – combining findings, conducting tests and recommending changes based on user insight. e.g. user journey mapping, usability testing, wireframing and user analysis research.
  • Personable with client-facing experience – a large part of this role will be meeting with clients.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional product teams, including product leaders, sales teams, and engineers.
  • A Figma power user – this is the core tool we use for designing solutions.
  • An eye for visual design detail
  • Familiarity with B2B SaaS products is advantageous, allowing you to contribute to strategic decisions around the future direction of products and features.
  • Solid domain expertise. Preferably, you possess practical experience with content platforms, two-sided marketplaces and advertising. Knowledge of the building and architecture industry would be highly beneficial for this position.
  • Startup experience is a plus, particularly hands-on involvement in startups during their growth and transition phases towards becoming scale-ups.
