Our client is a digital agency that specialises in ecommerce project for clients both here and in Australia. They are a small but high performing team and looking for a senior level Full Stack Developer to join their team based in Takapuna, Auckland for either a 6-month contract or a permanent role.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to join this team. As a Web Developer, you will be an integral part of the talented team, contributing to technical development through scoping, designing, and building various features.

Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of projects, including front and back-end development of web portals, system integrations, and bespoke web applications. Your role will involve both frontend and backend development, ensuring seamless integration and exceptional user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the go-to technical expert for Shopify and BigCommerce technical capabilities as well as the broader ecosystem of eCommerce applications
  • Produce high-quality, maintainable, and tested code.
  • Mentor and grow the capabilities of our technical team.
  • Lead delivery for key projects.
  • Contribute to sales proposals and business requirements from a technical perspective.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our platform’s capabilities and user experience.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the highest level of quality and reliability

Key Technologies:

To excel in this role, you should ideally possess 5+ years of experience in a full stack development position and demonstrate proficiency in the following technologies:

  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of Shopify Plus and/or BigCommerce
  • SaaS platforms including building and launching stores, configuring third-party apps and migrating data.
  • Modern programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, Rust, or GO
  • Frontend JavaScript frameworks like Vue, React, or Angular
  • SQL/NoSQL databases
  • Cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and serverless architecture
  • Solid understanding of web performance optimization techniques
