About the role

We’re on the lookout for an Intermediate Designer with strong editorial design experience to join our creative team. In this role, you’ll deliver high-quality creative solutions and support art direction across both print and digital platforms.

You’ll work across SCG’s portfolio of editorial titles and client projects, collaborating closely with our creative, content and print teams to bring ideas to life.

What you’ll be doing

  • Designing and supporting art direction across SCG’s editorial titles and client work
  • Delivering high-quality design for magazines, websites, events, social media and video platforms
  • Working within established brand guidelines and templates while still pushing creative boundaries
  • Managing deadlines and budgets while maintaining smooth production workflows
  • Bringing fresh, innovative ideas to improve design outcomes and processes
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Adapting quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

About you

  • Minimum three years’ experience in a design role within a publishing environment, design agency or similar
  • Strong editorial design experience, with a keen eye for layout, typography and storytelling
  • High proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop essential)
  • Comfortable working within brand systems while maintaining creativity and consistency
  • A confident communicator who enjoys collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Organised, adaptable and solutions-focused, with the ability to juggle multiple projects
