About the role

We are seeking a dynamic sales executive with a relentless determination to identify opportunities and generate revenue for the company. A keen interest in both print and the digital realm preferably with a media background will facilitate a quick start, as you’ll be selling across all our channels. With responsibilities spanning over magazine, website, social platform and events, you’ll have diverse avenues to craft compelling ad campaigns for your clients.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, your role entails reaching monthly revenue targets aimed at increasing revenue from new, existing, and lapsed advertisers by effectively managing your assigned verticals within your brand’s market.

This position requires interaction with clients and agencies through various channels, including phone calls, face-to-face meetings, video calls, and formal presentations, emphasizing the importance of building rapport and relationships. You will independently manage your pipeline and efficiently convert sales. Your Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will be aligned with these responsibilities and will be reviewed quarterly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strive to surpass set revenue targets in alignment with your Commercial Director’s expectations.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve overall brand targets.
  • Manage and cultivate your own client portfolio.
  • Innovate and execute new creative strategies to increase revenues and yields.
  • Communicate regularly with assigned agencies and clients via telephone, video calls, or in-person meetings to maintain the necessary level of contact.
  • Foster relationships with key agency personnel and clients within your specific industry vertical.
  • Maintain an organized pipeline and track all activities through the CRM system, ensuring accurate records and timely administration.
  •  Meet minimum standards and personal Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), which are assessed on a quarterly basis.
  • Adhere to established pricing policies and effectively communicate the value propositions of our brands.

About you

  • Previous sales or media agency experience.
  • It is preferable to have knowledge of the publishing and/or media industry, including digital sales.
  • Highly personable, collaborative, enthusiastic and persuasive.
  • Strong ability to excite and engage with clients and agencies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Excel and PowerPoint, and/or Google office such as Sheets and Slides.
  • Proficiency in a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
